Nigerian policemen are going to become as cool as American cops. The US government stated that it is ready to train Nigerian police officers.
The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James F. Entwistle, while visiting the Police Headquarters in Abuja, told the Inspector General of Police (IG), Suleiman Abba of the US plans to establish a partnership in training Nigerian law enforcement personnel.
Mr. Entwistle also told that Nigerian policemen have shown their “brilliant performance” during the recent general election in Nigeria.
Mr. Abba in response assured American ambassador that that this high commendation will serve as a great motivational factor for Nigerian police staff in establishing law enforcement of the world level.
