Recently impeached deputy governor of Ondo state Alhaji Ali Olanusi has been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the All Progressive Congress (APC)
According to the National Mirror, the APC National Executive Committee (NEC), in a letter signed by its secretary, Mai Bala Buni, said Olanusi’s appointment as a BOT member took effect from July 4, 2014The Nation reports that the letter read: ”I am pleased to convey the ratification by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of your appointment as a member of the Board of Trustees of our great party.
“Your selection is in pursuant of Article 12.2(xi) of the Constitution but most especially your laudable contribution in the making of our great party. “Your appointment is for a period of four years effective July 2014.
Olanusi who jumped ship from People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to APC in the eve of March 28 presidential election was last week impeached as the Deputy Governor of the state by 23 members of the State House of Assembly over alleged corrupt practices, absenteeism and gross misconduct.
