Family forced to sleep on a Spanish beach after being kicked out of their Hotel.

A mother says she and her family were forced to sleep on a Spanish beach after being kicked out of their hotel. Annmarie Alders woke up on her 40th birthday on the beach in Gran Canaria with partner Steve Cawley, 43, and their two sons Kayne and Calum after being thrown out at 10pm.

She said: ‘I woke up on a beach in the morning of my 40th birthday – it was horrible. ‘I was cold and very stressed out – I had no money and nowhere else to stay.’

Elena Quintana, the manager of Hotel Folias, said: ‘We had a problem with the family – they spent only two days here and I had to speak to them three times.The hotel said they had been given three warnings about their behaviour following complaints by guests. Ms Alders claimed the hotel kept hold of their bags, holiday money, and passport.

‘They were drinking on the first night and were shouting in the swimming pool until 3am. We said to them that the next time, they must leave the hotel. ‘I had a lot of complaints from my other guests about their attitude.’ The family moved into another hotel the next day after the Foreign Office provided assistance and relatives wired money through.
